The Lion (and Albert?)
Yesterday was quite a busy day for me.
My dad coaches chess at two schools in Saffron Walden on a Thursday, but because his arthritis was affecting his knee, he couldn't drive, so I volunteered to drive him there - after all, an opportunity to drive the Prius shouldn't be missed! ;-)
After he'd finished at his first school, we went to Saffron Walden Museum. I had heard Pam Ayres mention on Radio 4 that they have Wallace the lion there. He was allegedly the lion in "The Lion and Albert", a monologue by Marriott Edgar. After looking around for a while, we found him:

After an hour or so, it was time to go to the second school, Dame Bradbury's. There, I worked on my HTML lecture, which I gave at the SoSLUG meeting in the evening.
Before that though, I had a question to ask at the Council meeting, which we got back to Southend just in time for.
