Poles apart: From PhDs to Pirouettes

(Note: You might be forgiven for not noticing that these are not infact the lyrics to the fabulous shamen song.  However, since DaveB heard "travellers cheques" instead of "intelligence", the world will surely never be the same...)

I don't normally say anything here that isn't to do with pole dancing or getting a PhD, but last night I went out and had a jolly nice time.  There was lots of dancing (not as much as there should have been thanks to a rubbish DJ during the mid-section of the night, he did however play LSI which is THE BEST SONG IN THE WORLD at the end of his set and I went nuts), but towards the end things really picked up.  I haven't danced like that for over a year.  I had lots of fun, wore blue lipstick and danced in the pretty lights...
