The Graveyard of Ambition
I was chatting to Gonzálo (a nice old Spanish builder who's doing some work on the house) and he told me Swansea's nickname is "The Graveyard of Ambition."
With days like these, it's easy to see why... Why am I here, again? ;-)

Have you ever arrived at swansea via the rail system, looked down at the floor as you exit and noticed the mozaic saying "Ambition is critical" ? Even as a last ditch effort at gaining some knowledge, watched "Twin Town" which was filmed in Swansea before I left (I'm in it somewhere....)
Some jumped up, doped out, drunk poet and sex-ohloic called Dylan Thomas famously accused Swansea of being the graveyard of ambition many years ago. And it's always lived up to this......
