A few recent thoughts:
The idea of there being profound differences in the way we think as a direct result of the environment in which we grow up has intrigued me recently. So much so that I spent rather a while looking at various wikipedia articles on generation. As far as I can tell, I'm probably a bit too old to be considered iGeneration/Generation xXx but I'm not sure if I'm Boomerang Generation either (I guess I'll wait and see if I move back in with my parents or not!).
I picked up a copy of Grant Morrison's Arkham Asylum (I'm such a Morrison fanboy that I sicken myself sometimes) and loved it. The second best Batman story ever written in regular continuity (after Alan Moore's The Killing Joke). I even thought Dave McKean's frantic art worked brilliantly (and I'm not generally a fan of the disconnected, painted style).
My courses are all going ok and I've recently decided to help redesign the Anime Society's membership cards which is probably a helpful thing to be doing. What else is there? Valentine's Day passed without any real excitement, as it is wont to do, apart from an interesting conversation with Steve in Milliways. Speaking of Milliways, I've written a gag designed to correct people's spelling and grammar (having been told off by Arthur for correcting everyone myself). With any luck, it will be implemented soon and people will be Grammarised good and proper. That's the plan, anyway.
