Part of what the exec want to do this year is to develop the gaming side of SUCS. We have had a games server for quite a few years now and we've even had a LAN party... about 7 years ago.
We thought the most effective way to help get this all going again would be to have a dedicated person be responsible for gaming, so it isn't treated like an afterthought but more like a proper segment of SUCS.
So I'm pleased to announce that Isabel Jenkins (~unreturnable) has be co-opted to the position of Gaming Officer.
His responsibilities are but not limited to:
- To make sure the games server is functional and all our members can access it
- To help decide what games and mods are run on the server
- To run and organise events
- To work with the publicity officer in regards to games
