Poles apart: From PhDs to Pirouettes

So, 2 days until I leave and 3 days until I arrive.   I still don't think it's sunk in.  

ARGH!

This frickin' blog interface just ate my first entry.  I'm not impressed.

Ok, so to paraphrase because I'm too lazy to remember what I said before - hello, I am blogging my progress in the distinguished art of trying to kill oneself through acrobatic torture known more commonly as pole dancing (and getting a PhD).  It was nearly successful Monday night, rather unceremoniously dismantling itself whilt I was spinning round it, smashing my light bulb and landing me on my back on the wooden bedframe.  But fear not, tonight I shall attack it with a spirit level and a spanner and just you wait...

A saner entry with some kind of history and reasoning may come in the future.  Unless the blog eats them again.  (I think I'm calling my blog fat).
