The Great Hall
The Great Hall. This was where all the meals were eaten, William Snawsell, his wife and the most important servants would sit at the top table, on the right of the picture. The table in the centre of the picture was for the most important guests, and the servants who weren't quite as important as those at the top table. The far end of the table on the left (where Keith S is sitting) is where the people of the lowest rank, like the 'pot boy' would sit.
