Greetings, my name is Zoe Leong. I am a Malaysian student in the final year of a Law and Business Studies Degree. I have been involved in international student matters in school, and at university I have represented international students in the International Student Focus Group and teh Law Department Staff-Student Consultative Committee. I have also assisted in the running of two successful International Office orientation programmes.

Having studied in the UK for 4 years, I am familiar with all the issues affecting the welfare of international students. I believe that I am the best candidate for this position because I have the experience and skills to be a good representitive in international student matters. I am also able to realte to students' problems and would be able to offer good advice and support.

International students are cultural ambassadors with the potential to contribute a wealth of social and cultural diversity to this university. I would like to tap into this potential and promote further integration of peoples. I want to create a positive awareness of the varied mixture of cultures and to celebrate this difference. I intend to do this through increased support to the international societies to enable them to share the experiences with everyone.

- It's all about making an impact -
