So what is this madness all about then? Well, basically every year in the depths of the Swansea winter, a group of medical students arranges for a group of crazy volunteers to charge into Swansea Bay in a wide assortment of fancy dress costumes. Why? Well, because they're medical students and they enjoy being cruel to people, but also every volunteer raises sponsorship money which gets split between the selected MedSoc charities for the year.
Ever-persuadable, I've entered myself this year and I would be incredibly happy if you could endorse my getting hypothermia in the name of charity by pledging a few pounds. The sea in Swansea was cold enough when I went in last September so I dread to think what it will be like on 16th February.
More info about the run can be found here or you can email me on 480967@swansea.ac.uk for more details. Feel free to forward this to as many people as you like, particularly people who are rich and charitable! So, fill out the form below if you're interested. If you don't want to be publicly associated with me then just put anon in the 'name' box and put your name together with your email address in the 'email' box. Also, any ideas re fancy dress would be much appreciated. I'm currently torn between this and this...

Are you supposed to sponsor yourself in these things? Well I thought someone had better open the bidding and check that this thing actually works. |
