The top of the Clifton Rocks Railway, a long disused funicular railway located entirely in a tunnel between the Clifton and Hotwells areas of Bristol. The railway is currently being restored by volunteers.<br>
This photograph was taken from the entrance to the top (Clifton) station. The Bristol Open Doors Day poster is hung on a brick wall built when the BBC used the by-then disused tunnels during the second world war. The two walls on the left and right, which are covered stairwells, also date from the post-operational period - there were originally four parallel tracks. The "car" is a lifesize mockup of the front end.
