One of the two former able wheels at the top the Clifton Rocks Railway, a long disused funicular railway located entirely in a tunnel between the Clifton and Hotwells areas of Bristol that is currently being restored by volunteers. There were originally two pairs of cars, this wheel was for the lefthand pair (viewed from the top), the right hand two rails are for the second car from the left (again viewed from the top). The rail next to the wall of the later stairwell is one of the two for the leftmost car. The black wall in the distance is also obviously later, and dates from when the BBC used the tunnels as a bomb-proof broadcasting location during the Second World War.
