Platform 2 at Dorchester West railway station is served by southbound trains to Upwey and Weymouth while northbound trains to Yeovil Pen Mill, Bath and Bristol Temple Meads. In comparison to the bustling Dorchester South station with direct trains to London Waterloo, Dorchester West is unstaffed and served by the much more infrequent Heart of Wessex Line services.
