Looking down at the platforms at Clapham Common tube station on the Northern Line, photographed from the top of the stairs to the passage to the escalators. There is no optial illusion here, the platform really is this narrow! The righthand platform is for southbound services, northbound trains call at the lefthand one.
This, and Clapham North tube station, are I beleive the only ones on the network left to this design. Angel tube station, also on the Northern Line, was formerlly to this design but rebuilt in the 1990s; a new northbound tunnel was bored and the southbound platform extended over the former northbound track making it unusually wide.
