Platform 2 at Kennington tube station, this platform is served by southbound trains on the Charing Cross branch of the Northern Line, which merges with the Bank branch a short distance south of the station.
Off peak, around half the trains arriving at this platform terminate and passengers must cross to platform 4 to continue their southbound journey on a Bank branch train. The reason for this is there is a reversing loop south of the staiton, accessible only from the Charing Cross branch, that leads only to the northbound Charing Cross branch platform - see this excellent 3D diagram.
