Nailsea and Backwell railway station, viewed looking north from the southern end of the northbound platform. The station takes its name from two North Somerset settlements, as it spans the road that links the two - the road bridge is the wider part of the platform just this side of the footbridge. The southbound platform on the right marks the westernmost point of Backwell, while Nailsea is about ¼ mile west (left).
