The Queen Elizabeth II Metro Bridge that carries the Tyne and Wear metro over the River Tyne. On both sides of the river the metro runs in tunnels and so on a bright day it is quite a contrast from being deep underground at Gateshead or Central Station to emerge onto the bridge 80ft (25m) above the river.
