In The Name Of The Law

Lying dead in the gutter,
Their lives stamped out
By one mad gun-man
With an automatic gun.

A single mad gun-man,
Twenty children lying dead,
Blood staining the pavement
Upon which they lie.

'Tragedy' and 'Bloodbath'
Scream the papers -
Merely a whisper
To the screams of those kids.

No life ahead,
No future for them.
The gunman lies dead -

"In the name of the law"
