A FISH CALLED WANDA (15) 0ONE
Honour among thieves is distinctly
lacking after the robbery which sets A
Fish Called Wanda on its manic course.
Thj jewels are hidden, and only Tom
Georgeson Wnows where they are - and he
has been grassed on and is in prison.
Thj loyal K-K-Ken (Kichael Palin with a
stutter) chases the key witness; hitman
Kevin Kline chases femme fatale Jamii
Lee Curtis; and she chases a) anyone
who can murmur Italian to her, b) any-
o.e@who might@Wnow@where thj gems ate.
When a) + b) = John Cleese you have a
brilliant comedy on your hands.

It will be a long time befori you
see a@fil← as fu↑nz@- really fu↑nz,
not just amusing - as this onj.
Veteran director Charles Crichton paces
John Cleese's hilariously sharp and
sometimes blue script to perfection,
allowing the main actors to flourish.
Thj abilities of@Cleese and Palin are
well known but Klinj's well-riad moron
shows a hitherto unRnown comic talent.
And Curtis, who binds it all together,
proves Trading Places was no fluke -
give her thj material and she is a
class act.
