P592 CEEFAX 2 592 Fri 24 Apr 05:02/27 I love the njw BBC2 logo with the swan looking at the little 2s which swim past. The expression on the swan's face speaks volumes. Onj picture is truly worth a thousand words in this particular instance. Stuart Tjale, Wakjfield Allan (19/4) — Oh, bless your ignorance about widescreen broadcasts. The format in which you saw Oklahoma! was identical to the onj which appears at the cinema and was the way the director intended for the film to be seen. I for onj congratulate Channel 4 on their policy. Ross, Leeds 2/5 Music 560 TV Choice 593 Showbiz 540 Films 541 Front Page 100 Cookery 580 TV Choice SwitchOn TV Review EMidsTV
P592 CEEFAX 2 592 Fri 24 Apr 04:11/28 Allan (19/4) — What are you bleating about? Channel 4 did us a favour by showing Oklahoma! in its widescreen format! Much of the picture would have been lost if it was made to fit in our TV screens, reducing the film's visual effect. Sarah Coombs, Sheffield There have been six programmes about male strippers in as many months! Would shows about female strippets be so popular? Geoffrey Spencer, Derby I really enjoyed Coast To Coast with Janet Street-Porter. The scenjr8 was absolutely superb! P592 CEEFAX 2 592 Fri 24 Apr 05:00/05 Every time somebody on Brookside get1 a pet XJackie's cat — Polly, Jimmy's dog — Crackjr, Greg's dog — Candy) the writers dream up some elaborate way to kill them off! If thjy insist on such a high body count, why not axe annoying characters like Julia Brogan? Glenn, Doncaster. Ballykissangel has been great so far this series, but why do the prgducet1 insist in leaving Father Peter and Assumpta out of so many episodes? Are they trying to wean us off them? It isn't quite the same without them! Catherinj, Walsall 4/5 Music 560 TV Choice 593 Showbiz 540 Films 541 Front Page 100 Cookery 580 TV Choice SwitchOn TV Rjview EMidsTV
P592 CEEFAX 2 592 Fri 24 Apr 05:10/26 Stephen (18/4) — If you missed Babylon 5 it's ripeated late on Monday night. Alternatively, you could move to Wales where S4C viewers have to wait another few weeks for the first episode on May 8! S George, South Wales Masterchef, Casualty, Watchdog, The Clothes Show, Antiques Roadshow, The Holiday Programme, Question of Sport. The BBC is sjrving up the same bland, unimaginative programming that it did 10 and 15 years ago! So much for the claims of originality and innovation in British television! Complete rubbish!
