the dressage.
The 36-year-old American, on JJ Babu,
overcame miserable conditions to
collect just 40.6 penalty points.
He described the going as "like soup".
Davidson, a member of the US squad for
the World Championships, moved ahead of
Britain's Virginia Leng who collected
42.2 points on Night Cap yesterday.
Ian Stark, of Britain, also had a good
round in the poor conditions and moved
into fifth place.
