CASH SPUR TO
BIG-HITTERS HIT IT FOR SIX
Ian Botham's record of 80 sixes last
season could be worth £1,300 this year.
Wisden Cricket Monthly is running a
competition, backed by computer firm
Basic Six Ltd, to reward the leading
six-hitter in English cricket.
The scheme, guaranteed for three years,
will pay £200 to batsmen who hit 20
sixes and £10 for each one thereafter.
The leading six-hitter gets a £500
winner's bonus and a trophy. Only sixes
in first class games will count.
The Anglia Building Society will
sponsor Northants this season. >>>>>
