There's fighting action here and there, on camel as well as horseback and a massive showbown when Vosoughi finally catches up with the caravan. The love interest aspect of the story has been sensibly played down. As all-round entertainment, Caravan is great. It does plob along but as a Saturday afternoon film it does at least keep you out of the cold!  By Sally Reidy-Crofts
