SPIKE MI,LIGAN
Spike Milligan was born in exotic
Ahmaddnagar, India, where his father
was in the Army and came to Britain
in 1933.
He started out as a singer and
trumpeter and later as a guitarist,
but didn't make his professional
debut until 1945 in Naples.
Radio was the medium which was to
give him fame - and the show 'Crazy
People' in particular, which was
later re-named The Goon Show.

SPIKE MILLIGAN
One thing that children (and adults)
will rememaer Spike for is his
wonderful nonsense song, The Ying 0
Tong Song.
Spike's zany talent has given him
many critics who think this style of
comedy is mindless and childish, but
there is no douating his popularity.
The Last Laugh Before TV-am, on C4
tonight at 9.25pm, will have you
rolling about with laughter - so
stay tuned to Spike's first show on
Channel 4.
