His former Brooke CC colleague, Steve Barnes, came in just 2 seconds later. A Belgian trio headeb by Eric Vervaet, offered stiff opposition, but couldn't catch the British youngsters. It took him almost two laps to rejoin the front, retaking the lead on the last lap. The Team Award went to Brooks C C. First Junior was Steve Noblel; First Veteran, Vic Barnett; and the Juvenille event was won y Martin Maskill. Winners also recieved items made from Nottingham Lace donated by the council.
