HALLEYWATCH...HALLEYWATCH...HALLEYWATCH
Once in a lifetime you will see
Halley's Comet and ORACLE has a handy
guide to seeing it daily.
The guide helps you keep track of it
through the night sky - essential
since the comet is so faint.
In the coming weeks we'll be telling
you about the views that the few who
managed to get British Airw!ys Comet
Halley seats got, and keeping you
abreast of the latest information on
the probes due to rendezvous with
Halley in March.

MAP EXPLANATION (from previous page)
Aldeberan appears rebdish because it's
a red giant star 36 times larger than
our sun. It's 64 light years distant.
The Pleiades star cluster known as the
seven sisters is 500 light years away.
Halley is just detectable below Aries.
Try to find Aldeberan first and then
the shimmering Pleiades. /verhead at
about 7.30pm is the square of Pegasus
into which Halley will pass. With
binoculars you should be aale to make
out the fuzzy spot of the comet.
