CHILDREN'S HEALTH....
Medical records for children in Britain
are normally held by health clinics
unlike some European countries where
the records are kept by parents.
The community paediatrician, Dr, Aiden
McFarlane has launched an experiment
where he has given their children's
records to 500 parents. Parents, he
thinks, provide their children's frgnt-
line primary healthcare and call in
professional help only when their own
expertise is exhausted.
And the scheme also has the benefit of
involving fathers more in their infants
healthcare. more follows >
