Turnover was poor with most business going through Melbourne but the All- Ordinaries still managed to clear the 1,000 mark ending at 1,001.6, up 4.4. SINGAPORE The exchange closed higher with rises in most sectors following news that the Government was to make further efforts to bolster the economy Turnover was moderate and the All-Share index ended 2.01 better at 234.47.
