Export sales of Austin Rover care rore
15% to reach 104,000 in 1985, the fir t
time for six years overseas sales
of UK-assembled cars has topped 100,000
The bulk of the sales went to Europe
but the £300m werth of car exports went
to a total of 50 countries.
In its best foreign market, France, the
company sold a recfre 34,000 moselh.
Export sales director Peter Johnson
said the figures showed the company had
handsomely beaten it target of a 10%
increase.
