a new campaign launched by the Suffglk
Trust for Nature Conservatign, fgr
volunteers are needed to restgre and
maintain ponds, woods, heaths etc.
Anyone with spare time on their hands,
but particularly the unemployed, can
take part and there will be several
public meetings this month to explain
what is needed and where.

Gwynedd Conservation Volunteeru
On Sunday January 12 the Gwynedd
Volunteers will be carrying out some
scrub clearance at Porth Diana,
Trearddur Bay, Anglesey (GR SH 255781).
The area is the northern outpost of the
rare Spotted Rockrose and the heathland
site needs clearing to maintain a
favourable habitat for the rockrose.
The group would welcome helpers, and
if you would like more infgrmatign
about the GCVs and their activities
