OUTPUT RISES TO
SIX-YEAR HIGH
Industrial output rose for the fifth
successive month in November to reach
its highest level since June 1979, the
latest Government figures show.
A recovery in manufacturing output,
which was up 0.7%, combined with higher
higher oil output to push overall
output up 1.2% on the month.
The three-month total for September to
November showed total output up 1.9%
and manufacturing output was up 0.8%.
And the Central Statistical Office said
the trend remained upward.
