Tasks include tree-planting, fencing, and dry-stone walling, and the BWCVs also organise social events such as barn dances and day trips. Volunteers are collected at 9.30am at the Conservation Centre, 32 Bridge St, Wakefield (Tues and Weds) and at 10am at Barnsley Railway Stn Car Park on Weds only. The outing will be led by the RSPB warden, and you should be able to see Goosanders coming to roost after sunset. Meet at 2pm outside Lake Vyrnwy Information Centre.
