The TSE Index of all listed stocks was up 3.67 at 1,048.00. Volume totalled 430m shares with domestic demand-related stocks leading the upswing. HONG KONG The Hang Seng Index closed 6.60 points lower at 1,702.38. SINGAPORE The All Share Index closed 1.23 points higher at 227.08. The All Ords Index, which closed at a record high on Friday, lost 2.5 points. But behind that figure was a strong performance by industrial shares and a weak market for resource issues. JOHANNESBURG Gold shares opened a little easier in a slow start as bullion slipped sharply and the rand edged higher against the dollar.
