Inspector Ferrit and Benito ran up.
Mildred was so surprised she dropped
the potion, which splashed all over

In a trice, the sisters were changed
into the ugliest, grumpiest looking
frogs you've ever seen. But the
friends were not yet out of trouble...

water coming from?

flooding

cell doorway snow - the
threatening to castle is
engulf them. thawing!
It was Benito
who suggested
the explanation.

Benito was right.
The temperature
had risen and the
great snow castle
was melting.
In no time at all
the walls had
vanished and the
friends were
washed away on a
current of melted
snow that took
them safely back
to 4-T's house.
As for the
frogs, they were
swept off in
a different
direction and
were never
seen again.

Inspector Ferrit also vanished from
the scene, no doubt to continue his
witchcraft investigations elsewhere.
But what of the snow people?
I think the poor
things must have
melted away...
However, a parcel in the post a few
days letter contained some hats and
scarves and a note...
