THE COMIC STRIP PRESENTS...SLAGS
"One day, when we're REALLY old and
25," says one of the Slags, "we'll
get married."
The Slags are the embodiment of
anarchy, they are all "nearly 18"
(except for Marlon who's 30) and
they've already spent time in jail.
Now the Slags are back...evil but
stylishly clad in punky leather and
chains, and they're determined to
get revenge on the sickly nice
Hawaiians who have "taken over" the
Slags' territory.

THE COMIC STRIP PRESENTS...SLAGS
As usual, this piece of witty satire
from the Comic Strip team will have
you laughing and gasping in shock
simultaneously.
Written by Jennifer Saunders (she is
the toothy, giggly Little Sister),
Slags stars Nigel Planer, Dawn
French, Adrian Edmondson and a manic
Peter Richardson.
Planer is a sort of pseudo-hippie,
Edmondson is a smooth Germanic
writer with bleached white hair and
a cool, calculating narrator of the
story.

THE COMIC STRIP PRESENTS...SLAGS
Slags is by no means a piece of
jollity. In fact, there are parts
which could be deemed as brutal or
gruesome.
Edmondson narrates a tale of a dark
and depressing world and explains or
apologises for the Slags and their
fate:
"We were just a group of mixed up
kids who got involved with a lot of
other mixed-up kids."
Mixed up? Psychiatric cases, all of
them! 0

THE COMIC STRIP PRESENTS...SLAGS
Dawn French is outstanding as the
leader of the Slags, Passion, a
brutal woman with a cold heart who
is determined to wipe out the clean,
flowery-shirted Hawaiians.
Passion and Little Sister are a
gruesome twosome - they are what the
Slags are all about. No one is quite
as obnoxious or as driven as them.
When, however, you see what these
Hawaiians are like, you'd want to
get rid of them too...Slag style.

THE COMIC STRIP PRESENTS...SLAGS
Unfortunately, Little Sister and the
leader of the Hawaiians fall in
love and when Passion finds out,
there is to be a showdown.
Slags is quite unlike the other
Comic Strip stories such as
Consuela or Gino - it is shadowy and
violent, rather in the style of
'Blade Runner'.

This is the last of the Comic Strip
Presents, so don't forget to watch
Slags tomorrow night at 11.05pm.
