FEARGAL burst on stage with "You Little Thief" after an electric introduction from his ten-piece band. With the mysterious exception of his next single "Someone to Somebody" he continued to sing the whole of his latest LP, five unrecorded songs including the 60's hit "When a Man Loves a Woman", and "Listen To Your Father", arguably the crowd's favourite. more follows > BSVs Index - 540 Starfile - 546

The lighting, although simple, was effectively adopted to create an emotional atmosphere, especially in the sleazy number "Love and Hate", the Irishman's personal favourite. The choreography of the two backing singers CORAL GORDON and JANICE HOYTE added a further dimension to the show, and was a notable success. continues > BSVs Index 540 Starfile 546

The 4,600 people who witnessed FEARGAL during his two night stop at Nottingham will have left the concert convinced of megastar potential, wrom a man who has already gained wider appreciation than he was ever able to master with the cult band THE UNDERTONES. by CRAIG BONNER more follows > BSVs Index 540 Starfile 546

With DARRYL JONES, former bassist with MILES DAVIS and WEATHER REPORT drummer OMAR HAKIM forming a powerful rythmn section, STING was able to concentrate on his singing while offering some delicate passages on guitar. A bass and drum solo brought the Albert Hall to it's knees. continues > BSVs Index 540 Starfile 546
