SPRINGING INTO FASHION
I hope the dull weather is coming to an
end because I am anxious to see new
spring clothes and ideas in action.
This is a special time of year for
dressmakers and the chance to revive
some of last year's wardrobe before you
start spending on new fashions.
I usually put away clothes I definitely
will not wear again until next year.
Next I sort out the "possibles! into
some type of colour scheme, and I find
I have things which go together quite
unexpectedly. Now you can start looking
at fabrics and designs for the new
season. more follows >

SPRINGING INTO FASHION
It looks like being a very pastel year
with sugar pink, iced blue, pale mint
and apricot predominating.
I personally like delicate cream better
than white, as a base colour, because I
can then add splashes of exotic colour,
or keep it delicate, without having a
startling white contrast.
There are some startling big designs
for the dressmaker and you should be
careful that they do not look
overpowering when you wear them. Look
for a full length mirror in the fabric
shops and hold up the fabric against
you before buying. more follows >
