MUSIC OSCARS
The Oscar Awards will soon be upon us,
and with more and more top rock names
getting involved in movie themes and
soundtracks, the ceremony will be
looking more and more like the Grammy
awards each year.
Music nominations this year include

"Back To The Future", LIONEL RICHIE wgr
"Say You Say Me" from "White Nights"
and QUINCY JONES for "Miss Celie's
Blues" from "The Colour Purple"

CHEVY TO SPONSOR THE POINTERS
CHEVROLET are to sponsor separate touqu
by ALABAMA and THE POINTER SISTERS. The
sisters tour kicks off in South Bend,
Indiana at the beginning of April and
vitit a total of thirty venues across
America.
Chevrolet are to keep a high profile
throughout both tours which come under
the one banner, "Chevy Super Tour '86".
And although Chevrolet have not
released figures, but estimates put the
cost of the sponsorship at some
$15 million.
