The Anglia Building Society is increasing the interest rate on its Instant Gold Account by ¼%. Balances over £5,000 will now earn 9½% net, with 9¾% net on £10,000 or more. The final 40p payment on British Telecom shares is due by April 9th. The Council wants the Chancellor to grant tax relief on these only if the company also offers a broader-based employee share plan.
