FOR
MONDAY
A Monday morning thought
for a church
that should not just operate
on Sundays - from David Winter
speaking yesterday
on the question why the Church began.
SENT FORTH BY GOD'S BLESSING
When Jesus sends out his church
with his blessing,
this is not
just a gentle pat on the head.
There is more pressure
and it is applied a little lower down.

Last week's debate on why Jesus came
summed up last night on Pennine Radio:
Suffering and sin; Jesus came
so suffering can be lived with
and sin eradicated.
On the cross we see
what man in sin does to God
and what God through suffering
does for man.
And some unanswered questions:
* Must we believe in Jesus's miracles ?
* How far are they relevant to today ?
* Must we picture Jesus in our minds
to have a relationship with him ?
* Must we go to church to follow him ?

the Church worldwide today
is going on expanding.
