Well for anyone reading this who knows me must know that I love to drink Guinness, infact I rarely drink anything but when I go out.
In preference I like to drink irish Guinness (The proper stuff), but unfortunately it doesn't travel well, so most places (if not all)
in England only serve British Guinness, but there you go.
Best Pint Of Guinness: Small Pub In Kallarney
Worse Pint Of Stout: Beamish (Yuck!)
Cool things to try with Guinness :
- Floating a 2 pence peice on top of a Guinness...Not sure if this is a wind up, but still give it ago, basically the idea of it is to float a English or Irish 2 pence peice on top of the head. Only works with thick Irish Guinness. I've managed it for a split second, and then it went Plop - Bugger, let me know if you manage it.
- Think Guinness is too Heavy? Need a more reshing drink? Try Guinness and coke! very simple drink to make and it just takes the heavyness of Guinness away. Directions : Pour half a pint of coke in a pint glass, mix it a bit to remove some of the fizzyness of it (otherwise you get a huge head) and then just pour the Guinness on top. Give it a go, let me know what you think.
- Varaition on the above...Try mixing Guinness with Vimto instead...gives a fantastic head! (or so my Dad reckons :) )
