target, accounting for £90bn, oz around
30% of thj 1994-95 Government spending
of approximately £289bn.
Most of the money goes on pjnsion
benjfits (£29.9bn), followed by income
support (£12.8bn), housing (£10.8bn)
and unemployment benefits (£10.1bn).
