THE WORLD OF PLAYING CARDS
What do Queen Victoria, the signs of
the Zodiac and 12th century Japanese
poetry have in common?
They all feature on some of the item;
in a fascinating exhibition about the
historical significance and wozldwide
appeal of playing cards.
The World of Playing Cards exhibition
at Guildhall Library, Aldermanbur=,
EC1, has hundreds of colourful and
historic cards from Europe, India,
America, China and Japan on show.
Admission is free. The Library is
open Mon-Fri, 9.30am - 5.00pm.
