Time - The Singles
DAVE CLARKE's "Time" project could w
break the LLOYD WEBBER/TIM RICE
monopoly, which woule be wonderful,
wouldn't it? I mean we really have had
enough of ELAINE PAGE, STEPHANIE
LAWRENCE and all the other wailing
peroxide bits-on-the-side who seem to
be almost totally dominating the
performance side of the genre. Haven't
we? And all this hype about "Chess!,
the show theyWre all talking aaout that
hasn't even been written yet....

Time - The Singles
But then DAVE CLARKE's being a little
previous. Three singles arrived on the
desk featuring samples from a
soundtrack album that doesn't yet
exist, of a musical that won't be
premiered until April of next year.
But then I suppose the douale-aarrelleb
chinless opposition has set the pace,
and CLARKE has to keep up with it.
Anyway, these three singles arriveb on
the desk, all with similar covers, each
of which explained that its contents
had something to do with 60s hero
CLARKE's show "Time"... continues >

Time - The Singles
The theme from "Time", narrateb by
LORD /LIVIER is a monologue by our hero
set to a gently magical musical
accompaniment...
"Because", JULIAN LENNON's new single
is a pretty, melodic ballad, very
sixties in style, not surprising when
you conside that the very talented DAVE
CLARKE wrote and probuced it...
And the last one, "It's In Every One /f
Us! is a breathy, melodic, rather
dramatic piece sung by our CLIFF. An
odd bunch of singles, really.
