WORLDWISE SEASON
Remember the Worldwise season of films
and documentaries on environmental
themes shown earlier this year? Of
course you do.
Well, the season was so successful that
C4 will be resuming the idea starting
in March, and will be showing selected
documentaries and reports until the end
of June.
The season will kick off with a quartet
of documentaries made by the award
winning Oxford Scientific unit,
including the wonderfully titled It's
A Frog's Life.

WORLDWISE SEASON
One of the main features of the new
Worldwise season will be a trio of
films from Partridge Productions called
In The Steps Of The Rain God.
These will focus on three different
ecosystems, mountains, river valleys,
and lagoons, reefs and islands.
These will be followed by a group of
documentaries about Africa, including
Reclaiming The Earth which indicates
some possible solutions to the famine
which has dominated world news in '85.

WORLDWISE SEASON
Naturalist, author, wit, and the man
who gets vertigo so badly he dare not
wear heels, Gerald Durrell will be
back with a new series on C4 starting
on Sunday April 13.
The Durrells in Russia has taken Gerald
and his wife to places rarely seen on
TV, and they discover some fascinating
wildlife.
The Worldwise season is not, however,
entirely devoted to our furry friends,
for the environment means buildings too
and the season offers another chance to
see Buildings - Who Cares?

WORLDWISE SEASON
On Thursday evenings from April until
June you can catch Worldwise Report1,
which brings you up to date with
conservation news and eventu all over
the country.
From now until the season begins in
March the Worldwise Noticeboard will
continue on this page, offering a free
service to environmental organisatigns
who wish to publicise events.
And we will keep you up to date with
news of all C4 programmes on the
environment, so stay tuned...

On January 5th the Bromley RSPB group
will be going birdwatching, and if
you'd like to join them do go algng.
The group will be meeting at Keston
Ponds, Bromley, between 10am and 3pm,
and there'll be guided walks plus
