pension scheme who decides to change
jobs in the New Year will find their
pension rights imprgved. Leaver1 can
now take a transfer payment from the
old employer+s scheme and use it tg buy
pension rights in the new firm's scheme
The Government has announced that SERPS
(the State Earnings Related Pensign) is
to be kept but in a revised fgrm. SERPS
will be based on lifetime average earn-
ings, for example, and not on the aver-
age of the cgntributor+s best 20 year1.
