Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) FLOUR
½ tsp SALT
10 oz (275g) BUTTER cut in pieces
6 oz (175g) PLAIN DESERT CHOCOLATE
melted
Filling:
4 fl oz (100ml) SOURED CREAM
4 fl oz (100ml) DOUBLE CREAM
12 oz (350g) PLAIN COOKING CHOCOLATE
melted
4 tbs FLAKED ALMONDS cut into slivers

AUSTRIAN CHOCOLATE SLICE
Sift flour and salt into large bowl.Add
butter and rub in flour, until like
fine breadcrumbs. Add chocolate and mix
to a smooth dough. Divide into four
pieces and roll out each to a 7" circle
between two sheets greaseproof paper,
then chill for 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 170C, 325F, Gas 3. Bake in
batches for 15 to 20 minutes until firm
and leave to cool. Meanwhile, make
filling, gradually adding creams to
melted chocolate. Make up the layers of
sandwich,ice the outside and sprinkle
