THE release date for the new PAUL
McCARTNEY album has been put back three
or four times since the end of last
year, although I'm told we can expect
it to be in the shops by the Summer.

McCARTNEY TO TOUR IN '86?
McCARTNEY has also been talking about
coming out of hiding and taking to the
road once again. His last tour with the
band WINGS ended with a Live Aid-style
charity show, billed as the Concerts
Concerts for Kampuchea.
The four-night event held at London's
Hammersmith Odeon featured the likes of
QUEEN and ELVIS COSTELL/, and ended
with a performance from a supergroup
led by McCARTNEY and starring members
of LED ZEPPELIN, THE ATTRACTIONS, GARY
BROOKER and PETE TOWNSHEND among
others. continues >

McCARTNEY TO TOUR IN '86?
Live Aid marked PAUL McCARTNEY's first
live performance for some ten years and
although his actual performance of the
BEATLE's classic "Let It Be" was
spoiled by technical problems, he says
it was the finale, during which he
shared the mike with BON/, that
instilled in him the desire to take to
the road once again.
He has made no firm plans however,
although his tour is likely to coincide
with the releases of his new album -
which is due before the year's out. We
hope ... more follows >

RIK MEETS HIS HERO AT LAST!
ADE EDMONDSON, RIK MAYALL, NIGEL PANER
and CHRIS RYAN, whose hit comedy show
The Young Ones was named after the
CLIFF RICHARD hit are to make a record
with the man himself!
The single, a cover version of another
CLIFF classic "Living Doll", is due for
release on the 10th of this month, and
stars CLIFF's old mate, the legendary
HANK MARVIN on guitar.
The b-side of the 12" is to feature a
Disco-Funk, Get Up And Go To The
Lavatory mix of the song. more >

WESTLAND SAGA ON DISC
The story of the Westland affair has
inspired a single, rather dubiously
titled "Faces of Freedom" by an act
calling themselves TDA.
A comic record (we assume) the single
is said to feature the voice of LEON
BRITTAN, or at least a fair
impersonation of him, along with those
of a few other characters who were
involved in the saga.
A likely hit? These cash-ins rarely
are, although we'll reserve judgement
until we've heard it! more follows >
